Are you counting down the days until summer finally arrives? We know that summer can be a lot of fun, but don’t let dental problems affect your summer plans! These simple tips can help keep your teeth clean and a summer free of dental issues.
Keep up with your routine
When the days get longer, it is easy to stay out late. You want to remember to brush your teeth before going to bed, no matter what time it is.
Are you going on a vacation?
As you pack for your trip, don’t forget about your toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and anything else that you need to clean your mouth.
Snacks
If you’re a parent of a child that is old enough to be home alone during the summer, make sure your home is supplied with healthy meals. Sugary foods and drinks can damage your child’s teeth, so try to encourage them to eat mouth-healthy foods when you’re not around.
Visit the dentist
We have said this before, but proper dental hygiene is not complete without scheduling regular trips to the dentist. Just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean that germs and bacteria are also taking a break.
Dental health problems are never fun, especially if they get in the way of spending time with friends and family. If you are due for a cleaning or have any concerns about your dental health, feel free to schedule an appointment with Dr. Faist in Beachwood, OH.
